A futuristic book where TV ratings are everything and anything is permitted to get them. Seven, very different, flawed people are left on an island on Lake Superior to cope or not. They have little food and a few tools and everything they say or do is filmed and broadcast to viewers around the globe. If they survive 7 months they will be paid a lot of money. If the contestants weren't bad enough then the ones in charge of the show were even worse. After reading to the end I'm still none the wiser as to the characters, who drifted along, totally oblivious as to what they needed to do until it was almost too late, focussing on the wrong things i.e. sex. There was too much detail about what they did to the animals - horrible. Although I liked the sound of this story, didn't enjoy reading it.
