Three and a half stars
Four students go away for a break but only 3 return. What did happen on that fateful weekend? Told from the points of view both now and then by the three remaining girls. This could have been terrific but fell short due to the lack of any empathy for any of the four, who turned out to be totally irresponsible, selfish and irritating and hadn't changed much as adults! The Irish descriptions were great and I liked the cover which was enticing as was the book's premise plus it was gripping enough to carry on to the end. My first novel by this author and would certainly read others by her.
