I have always loved books ever since I learnt to read. The sort of person who would look at an instruction manual if there were nothing else available. Not that that has happened too often - I have tottering piles of books not to mention e books. I will read almost anything as l long as it holds my interest. Besides books. I love music, photography, cryptic crosswords and playing Fitz 1 & 2 games.
It starts fairly flat with a discussion about curtains - would anyone phone their partner working abroad to discuss the state of the curtains?? Harry is abroad trying to earn enough money, mainly to pay for their children to have private education. Eva is left at home with the kids, bored until an ex boyfriend turns up. Although I loved the idea of this book, I just didn't enjoy it and found it hard going nor did I like Eva and Harry at all. A lot of people will thoroughly enjoy this book so it is probably just me. I would read something else written by this author.
